SNSHWRS & BSS – Mix 008

March 10, 2019
sunshowers and bass

Hello fronds; long time no see! 🌿

Does anyone else feel like they get s.a.d. during the winter? After a long, nippy, (and slightly snowy) winter, it feels like we’re finally starting to wake up from hibernation mode. And with the days getting longer and brighter, it’s hard not to look forward to summer and festival season again!

Is anyone else starting to plan their festivals and trips for the year? We’re going to Shambhala for sure (152 days to go!), but with Electric Love Festival postponed to next year, we need another festival to fill its slot, perhaps Motion Notion in August!

2019 has been a bit humdrum so far, with most of our days spent clocking in and out. The only shows we’ve hit up this year are Chris Lake at Celebrities (an amazing time), and AC Slater at MIA (the opposite of an amazing time). Chris Lake is a legend and he played all of our favourite house tracks, as well as tons of brand-new stuff we had to go hunting for afterward. AC Slater is also one of our top DJs, but MIA Nightclub is where dreams go to die. That venue is nothing but a fire hazard.

This month’s mix is supa chill, with plenty of house, some d&b, and a lot of future bass. It’s really hard to pick a favourite track because there’s a lot of softer stuff this month but if I had to, it would probably be “HEAVEN” by The Blaze, “Because You Move Me” by Tiinlicker or “I Feel You” by Zip Zip Through the Night, Pinguin Mofex, and Kaskade. Phil’s favourite song is “Leaning on Myself” by Anna of the North.

Give our new playlist a listen and let us know what you think!
